03/16/2018 – Owasso Police and Swat Team served a search warrant this morning in the area of 98th Street North and 109th East Avenue in the El Rio Vista Neighborhood.
Lt. Nick Boatman with the Owasso Police Department tells us that police had received a call a few days ago, reporting a resident at this address shooting a gun into the air. When officers arrived he had returned inside his residence and would not open the door for officers.
Lt. Boatman tells us the resident is a known felon, so no firearms should not be in his possession. As he would not open his door for officers at the time of the occurrence, a search warrant was acquired and served Friday morning.
At the time of this report (1:32:46 PM) officers were still on scene, but Boatman tells us numerous firearms have been recovered so far.
