Owasso High School Swim Team Tryouts 2019-2020 Season
April 27th, 10:30am–12:30pm
04/02/2019 – Current or incoming Owasso Mid High and High School students, who were not on the OHS Swim Team for the
2018/2019 season will be required to try out for the 2019/2020 season. Current OHS Swim Team members do not need to tryout unless Coach has discussed it with them.
During tryouts swimmers will be evaluated on:
- Swimming skills: freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke, butterfly
- Endurance in the water
- Comfort in the water
- Attitude and willingness to be coached
Leading up to tryouts any new potential Ram Swimmers and their parents are encouraged to come to check out a practice. Owasso does not have a pool on campus, so practices are held at the Claremore Rec Center. During Post off Season, the swimmers are in the pool Tues/Wed/Thurs from 2:30 – 4:30 PM weather and schedule permitting.

A few things to know:
- All swimmers who will be trying out will need a permission slip completed. These can be picked up in the school office to or completed the day of the tryout
- Try out participants should come prepared with a swimsuit (no two pieces), goggles, towel, and water bottle
Tryouts are held at the Claremore Rec Center Pool: 595 Veterans Parkway Claremore Oklahoma
Student ID #s will be used to post the official roster by May 1, 2019, on the OHS Swim website: www.owassoramsswimming.com
All 2019/2020 swimmers will be invited to a Team Event the afternoon of May 4th so please keep that date on your calendar.
