03/28/2018 – OWASSO, OKLA. – Wichita-based Oxford Senior Living expects to begin a $5 million expansion on Oxford Glen Memory Care at Owasso this summer. The expansion will add up to 40 additional assisted living apartments in the next year.

Construction is expected to begin on a second Oxford Glen expansion in Grand Prairie, Texas (a suburb of Dallas) later this year.

“These expansions will allow our Oxford Glen memory care communities to serve a broader audience,” says Chris Dennis, Oxford Senior Living President, CFO. “The new assisted living apartments attached to our existing communities will allow seniors to better age in place. We’ve talked to families in these markets who want to be at Oxford – even though they aren’t quite in need of 24-hour memory care yet.”

Plans for the Owasso and Dallas area expansions are very similar. Each community will add 30 thousand square feet and up to 40 assisted living apartments plus a secure courtyard and additional amenities.

Oxford Glen Memory Care community currently offers secure memory care housing and respite care with 24-hour on-site nursing for up to 42 residents. The community is located on Garnett Road in front of Bailey Medical Center and will remain open throughout construction.
