fullsizeoutput_16a8007/20/2017 – When you spend 75% of your holidays and weekends together…you build community.

This week our soccer community experienced a horrible tragedy that touched multiple age groups.

Two TSC families lost children in a devastating car accident.  One of the soccer Mom’s also went to be with the Lord.  This shocking event has touched each of us at levels that can’t be described.

Most of us have thought “that easily could have been me”.  The chord that was struck in our hearts for these families have been shown at the memorial, in private prayers and financially through a gofundme account that hit the goal within a day.

My family went to the Memorial and stood in tears as we saw so many of our Tulsa competitive clubs represented.  The jersey doesn’t matter in this situation.  What matters is that we show our love, compassion and kindness as our community has been shaken.

Love, The DeCastro Family

Earlier this week – Jenks mom Erin Van Horn was driving six kids home from Turner Falls when their SUV crashed into the back of a semi near Purcell.

Van Horn and her ten-year-old son Zach, as well as 11-year-old Beck Kitterman, died at the scene.   13-year-old Lizzie Edwards passed away Thursday morning.

Two 13-year-old girls remain in critical condition; one seven-year-old girl made it out with no major injuries.
