Jacob Simpson

06/24/2025 – A local student is making big strides toward a bright future in agriculture and service. Jacob Simpson, a recent high school graduate from the Dewey FFA chapter, has been awarded a $10,000 FFA scholarship sponsored by Domino’s. He is one of just 10 students nationwide to receive this prestigious award.

Simpson will be attending Oklahoma State University this fall, where he plans to pursue a degree in agricultural education. He has also enlisted in the Oklahoma Army National Guard and will begin his service as a Private (E-1), with plans to commission as a Second Lieutenant (O-1) after completing his degree. Long-term, he hopes to teach in an Oklahoma school as an agricultural educator following his military service.

“I am very grateful to Domino’s for sponsoring this scholarship and supporting FFA, along with my family and faith,” said Simpson. “FFA has shaped me into the person I am today.”

Simpson’s FFA journey has been full of leadership, innovation, and dedication. As part of his Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) project, he created and hosted his own podcast, I Believe TV. His commitment to agricultural education earned him the State FFA Degree and a spot at the Washington Leadership Conference, a top national leadership event for FFA members. He also served as president of his local chapter.

“My experiences with FFA helped me gain confidence and valuable leadership skills,” Simpson shared. “From public speaking to real-world problem solving, FFA strives to prepare students for success in not only the agriculture industry but also in life.”

Outside of FFA, Simpson was involved in the National Honor Society, the Bartlesville BancFirst Student Board of Directors, and Student Council—where he served as Student Body President. He also helped manage the Dewey High School football team.

Domino’s has been a strong supporter of FFA since 2017, recognizing the vital role agriculture plays in its own industry. The company has awarded over 100 scholarships and pledged $1.5 million toward FFA scholarships and SAE grants.

Congratulations to Jacob Simpson on this incredible achievement and his continued commitment to leadership, agriculture, and service!
