Owasso High School student Katie Beaird recently organized a pancake breakfast at the Masonic Lodge in Mannford.

Katie raised $2,000 to donate to TSHA (Total Source for Hearing-loss and Access) to help fund their kids’ summer camp program. The camp is designed for kids who are Deaf, hard of hearing, or who are KODAs (kids of Deaf adults). Katie enjoys teaching American Sign Language, volunteering in the Deaf community, and is attending a summer school program at Gallaudet University, the Deaf University in Washington D.C., where she will be one of the very few hearing students admitted to the program.
