Pamela Lou FreyPamela L. Frey was born August 25, 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Garlen Ray and Wynona C. McKinney Townsend. She died Thursday, September 23, at the age of 68 years. Pam was reared and educated in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Will Rogers High School Class of 1971. She began her working career in high school when she began working at Mac’s Cleaners starting in 1969. She was married May 29, 1971, two days after her high school graduation, to Montie Frey. They later purchased Mac’s Cleaners and have been the owners and operators since that time. Pam loved her work and her clientele, and she especially loved her family, many who have worked in the family dry cleaning business over the years. She was a longtime faithful member of the Lewis Avenue Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including swimming and spending time gardening. She especially loved her grandkids who affectionately knew her as “Granny”. She also spoiled her pets, Shadow and Gimpy.

Two sons; Montie Frey, Jr., and wife Leslie, of Owasso, Oklahoma
Jeff Frey, and wife Kristi, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Grandchildren; Spencer Frey, Brady Frey, Graci Frey, Lilli Frey, and Taylor Frey
Twin sister; Patricia Pittman and husband Ed, of Owasso, Oklahoma
Sister; Lynn Rochester and husband Willie, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Brother; Glenn Townsend and wife Melita, of Inola, Oklahoma
Mother; Wynona Townsend, of Tulsa, Oklahoma
She was preceded in death by:
Father, Garlen Townsend;
Brother, Bobby Townsend;
and Sister, Linda Townsend Duty.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2021, at the Lewis Avenue Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Jimmy Harvey officiating. Private family disposition will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Pam’s memory to the John 3:16 Mission, Attn.: Development Department, P.O. Box 1477, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74101-1477, www.john316mission.org, or Children’s Advocacy Center, P.O. Box 1889, Claremore, OK 74018, www.cacclaremore.org. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
