P workmanSharon Patricia “Pat” Workman was born September 18, 1941, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Carl Ray and Beatrice (Lewis) O’Banion. She died Wednesday, July 13, 2016, in Sperry, Oklahoma, at the age of 74 years. Pat was reared and educated in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Sand Springs High School Class of 1959. She continued her education attending the University of Tulsa. She was married May 22, 1979, in Miami, Oklahoma, to Donald Lewis Workman. She spent the last years of her working life as a legal secretary with her son Perry’s law firm. Pat volunteered her time in several capacities including the Audubon Society, Rogers County Adult Education Services working with adult literacy, and with Meals on Wheels. She worked as a substitute teacher with Owasso, Collinsville, and Claremore schools. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including fishing, gardening, baking, canning, as well as painting and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald Workman, and two sisters, Sandy Vincent and Peggy O’Banion and grandson, Jared Patton.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Perry Newman officiating. Final private family disposition will be held at a later date. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso. www.moweryfs.com
