Patricia Ann OrrPatricia Ann Orr was born February 21, 1932, in McKinney, Texas, to Guy Eugene and Pearl Ruth Wood Giles. She died Saturday, June 1, 2019, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years. Pat completed her secondary education in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Charles Page High School Class of 1950. She continued her education attending Oklahoma A & M in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was married June 18, 1955, in Sand Springs to Samuel E. Orr. Pat worked several jobs throughout her life, but none more important than that of a homemaker and caring for her family. Her first employer was Donald Norling, geologist, where she worked as a receptionist for him and later for Shell Oil Company. She worked as a clerk with Geologists, Manhart, Millicent, and Bebee. In 1956, she began working in the medical department at Douglas Aircraft. In the 70’s, she worked for D & S Religious Bookstore in Tulsa. In the 80’s, she worked for 15 years as a secretary for the Collinsville church of Christ. She served over 25 years as the precinct clerk in Owasso for the Tulsa County Election Board. Pat was a longtime faithful member of the Owasso church of Christ and taught Bible class for over 45 years. Even as one of her pastimes, she was faithful to study the Word and believed that one of her most significant accomplishments was her trust in God and living a life for Him before others. She enjoyed other pastimes including music, oil painting, and was an avid reader of the Bible and poetry. She had various collections including ceramic teacups, bells, angels, frogs, and carrots.

Two daughters; Kathy Orr
Holly King and husband Loran, all of Owasso
Four grandchildren; Adam Lively
Aaron Lively and wife Tillie
Austin King and Sheridan King
Four great grandchildren; Eduardo Narvaez Lively, Aaron Kyle Lively,
Aidan Lively, and Jaxon Lively
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Samuel Giles Orr, sister, Mildred Yvonne Giles, and brother, Daniel Frederick Giles.
 
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2019, at the Owasso Church of Christ with Dan Schnell officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to In Search Of The Lord’s Way, P.O. Box 371, Edmond, Oklahoma, 73083-0371. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
