Peggy Marie Robinson, 84 of Sperry, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at her home. She was born August 4, 1932 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Olive Marie Coble Metcalf and Leonard Pearl Metcalf. Peggy married the love of her life, Thomas Alfred Robinson, Sr. November 21, 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Peggy was a former Editor for the Owasso Reporter from 1982 – 2002 where she wrote her column “A View From My Window” for many years. She was a member of Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority.
Peggy is survived by four sons, Thomas Alfred Robinson, Jr. and wife Vickey of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Vincent Bruce Robinson and wife Glenna of Collinsville, Oklahoma, John Francis Robinson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and David Anthony Robinson and wife Marilou of Chelsea, Oklahoma; two daughters, Jennifer Marie Perkins and husband Donnie of Sperry, Oklahoma and Mary Louise Driskill and husband Matthew of Sperry, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Margaret Metcalf of Inola, Oklahoma and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Alfred Robinson, Sr. in 1980, her parents, one sister, Shirley Louise Epperley and one brother, Bruce Metcalf.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Dighton-Moore Funeral Service, 116 N. Main Street, Owasso, OK 74055. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Therese Catholic Church, 1007 N 19th St, Collinsville, OK 74021. Funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at St. Therese Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma.
Funeral services are entrusted to Dighton-Moore Funeral Service in Owasso, Oklahoma.
