Collinsville Rural, Owasso, Sperry and Tulsa fire departments all worked to put out a Quiktrip tanker fire Saturday night on Highway 75 at 116th Street North.

At approximately 10:00pm Owasso Fire was dispatched to the location, with reports that the tankers tires had caught fire. When they arrived the tanker was fully engulfed.

All lanes were shut down in both directions to allow the fire to burn itself out. A dike was constructed in a nearby ditch to collect any runoff.

A few small grass fires resulted from the flames but were quickly put out.

Highway 75 was closed for several hours while the fire was extinguished. No one was injured.
