Raymond Rodrick WilsonRaymond Rodrick Wilson, Sr., passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years. He was born December 22, 1936, to Albert and Verda Wilson in Marble, Arkansas. He graduated high school in Huntsville, Arkansas. He then moved to Oklahoma where he met Vana Broaddrick and married in 1955.
Raymond began his working career as a welder and then attended Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy, becoming a trooper in 1964. To better support his family, he trained to become a machinist and took a great job at North American Rockwell in the space program. He moved his wife and three boys from Tulsa to Collinsville in 1968, and after the moon landing, he took a job at Tulsa County Highway Department District 1 where he advanced to Superintendent, retiring in 1994.
During his retirement years, Raymond traveled extensively in his RV with his second wife, Janice, and his beloved Pomeranian, Peanut. He spent most of his golden years in a retirement community in Collinsville and lastly at the Owasso Baptist Village Unity Square.

Those he leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include:
Three sons; Ray Wilson and wife Loetta, of Collinsville, Oklahoma
Roger Wilson and wife Greta, of Collinsville, Oklahoma
Ronnie Wilson and wife Lori, of Owasso, Oklahoma
Grandsons; Trevor Wilson, Nick Wilson, and Trey Wilson
Sister; Ruth Kinnikin, Claremore, Oklahoma
Sister-in-law; Vicky Wilson, Sand Springs, Oklahoma
Many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Vana, sister, Pauline Newberry, and two brothers, Roy Wilson, and Stanley Wilson.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2023, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Dixie Pebworth officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
