Washington D.C – May 7, 2019- Today, four Rejoice Christian School 8th grade students placed a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. On hand to watch them were more than 100 fellow students and parents. Kristin Limerick, Kiersten Shern, Cyrus Kornegay, and Colby Thomas presented the wreath at 10:15 am.

“What an honor it was for our students to participate in this ceremony. We’ve been looking forward to having this opportunity since the early stages of planning this year’s trip”, says Tani Shern, Rejoice 8th-grade parent and trip leader. “And this year we were able to meet and shake the hands of an honor guard from Minnesota, which has never happened before,” says Shern. “This has been a memorable occasion for these students.”
