Ricky Charles OltenRicky Charles Olten was born on April 7th, 1956, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Everett Earl Olten and Patricia Ann Day. He passed away on Monday, March 25th, 2019, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, at the age of 62. Ricky grew up in Tulsa and attended Central High School. He was married October 24th, 1980, to Carol Sue Dobbs. Ricky worked at Southwest Tube in Mannford, where he was recognized as an outstanding employee, and proceeded to work with Cox Communications, for over 30 years, in cable installation and service. There he was recognized as an outstanding employee and was granted several awards for ‘perfect attendance’. He was a member of Rim Rock Baptist Church in Sand Springs, where he was first baptized. Ricky loved his family more than anything else. He was a talented musician and enjoyed a variety of pastimes, which included fishing, hunting, golf, auto mechanics, woodworking, softball, and coin, baseball card, and pocket knife collecting. He was also an avid NASCAR and Oklahoma Sooner football fan.
 
Ricky is survived by his Wife, Carol Olten, and his five children: Jacinda Alberty, Barney Lashley, Trisha Lagunas, “little” Ricky, and Deana Hoey. Ricky has ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and four siblings.
 
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 29th, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. The funeral ceremony will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30th, at the First United Methodist Church of Tulsa at 1115 South Boulder Avenue. Committal service and interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Mannford, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
