Robert Donald Jones Sr. was born on May 26, 1928 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jesse Lewis Jones and Edith May (Stephens) Jones. He passed from this life on Monday, February 18, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 90. Robert was born in Tulsa and attended Cherokee Elementary School in Turley. The family moved to Southgate, California where he graduated with the Southgate High School Class of 1946. After high school he enlisted and served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was married on May 31, 1952 in San Francisco, California to Mary Ann (Burns) Jones. Robert spent most of his working life as a Maintenance Supervisor for the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes earlier in life such as golfing, bowling, archery, hunting, and flying as a licensed pilot. Those he leaves behind that hold many cherished memories include:

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Father Matt La Chance officiating. Interment will be held at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Robert’s memory to the Porta Caeli House, 2440 North Harvard Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74115, or the St. Henry Catholic Church Building Fund, 8500 North Owasso Expressway, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
