Robert William Smith was born December 31, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, to William Ano Smith and Edna Mae DeLisle. He died Saturday, May 20, 2023, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years. Robert completed his secondary education in Detroit, then later was married to Patricia Ann Orlowski on July 22, 1966. He spent most of his professional career as a chemist. He was very creative and designed various paint formulations for numerous companies. Robert was a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Owasso and was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially the hobby of photography. He was particularly fond of his role as “Papa” to his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia, and brother, Kenneth Smith.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Jake Follis officiating. Final resting place will be at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Robert’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P. O.
