Roy Gaylen Pugh was born February 26, 1933, in Freedom, Oklahoma, to Leslie Raymond Pugh and Nellie Anna Taylor Pugh. He died Sunday, July 28, 2024, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 91 years. Roy was reared and educated in McCurtain, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of McCurtain High School. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Roy was married September 2, 1955, in Stigler, Oklahoma, to Doris Jean Patterson. They had made their home in Owasso since 1966. Roy spent much of his working life as a machinist with American Airlines in Tulsa before his retirement. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including woodworking, refurbishing old cars, and riding motorcycles. He later took interest in watch repair and maintenance.

Step-granddaughter; Deni
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Les Pugh, wife, Doris Pugh, brother, Colman Pugh, and sister, Evelyn Davies.
Funeral service was held 10:00 Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Final resting place will be at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
