Ruth M. Kimball, 90, of Afton, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, August 2, 2013. She was born June 19, 1923, at Beloit Wisconsin, to Joseph Otto and Ester Ruther (Haehnen) Madlinger. She was reared and educated in Bloomington, Illinois, and graduated with the Holy Trinity High School Class of 1941. She was married October 8, 1942, in Bloomington, to Thomas Kimball. Ruth worked for Born Engineering, Giant Grocery, and Kimball’s Produce before retiring to Grand Lake. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including making afghans, working puzzles, watching football and golf. She was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was affectionately known as Nanny. She will be missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, October 24, 1970, two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 Thursday, August 8, 2013, at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Owasso with Father Matt LaChance officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 2084 South Main, Grove, Oklahoma, 74344. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
