If you are getting married in 2017, or newly married, then plan on attending the following class – “Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts.” This 7-week program will be offered at the Bailey Education Foundation (inside Bailey Hospital at 10502 N. 110th E. Ave) on Wednesday evenings, 6:30 – 7:40, starting January 18, 2017. Primary teaching will be from the acclaimed SYMBIS dvd series by Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott. Jim Schnorrenberg, Counseling Minister at First Church, will present the material and facilitate the group. Jim is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT). Here are the lesson titles:
Cost is $10 per couple, and includes workbooks and refreshments. Couples who complete the series will receive documentation to reduce their marriage license fee by $45. Studies show that couples who receive at least 4 hours of pre-marital counseling have a much lower rate of divorce, and conversely, a much higher rate of happiness.
