On 11/14/2016, at 1:25am, an Owasso Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop with a blue Ford F-150 traveling eastbound on East 116 Street North near Highway 169.

The vehicle failed to stop and accelerated to speeds over 100mph and continued east on 116th Street North. Scanner traffic indicated the suspect threw items out the window of the truck near Quiktrip on 116th Street.

As officers pursued the vehicle, the driver fired a handgun multiple times out the back window of his pickup at the pursuing officers.  Scanner traffic indicated that officers later found shell casings in the roadway near 116th Street North and 161st East Avenue.

After a search involving K-9 units and the Tulsa Police Department helicopter, officers were able to locate the suspect and take him into custody at approximately 2:30am. Scanner traffic indicates he was arrested near a Walgreen’s drive through.  The suspect,  Kyle Linscomb (age 26) was booked into the Roger County Jail charged with Assault with a Firearm Weapons Offense, Assault with a Firearm, Escape and Traffic Offenses.
