Sue Ann Woods was born July 21, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to S.I. and Barcie (Merritt) Denton. She died Friday, November 6, 2015, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 68 years. Sue Graduated in 1965 from Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma. After high school she attended Oklahoma State University for two years. On August 3, 1968 she married her husband Barry J Woods. She retired from the University of Oklahoma, where she was an administrative assistant in the Office of Prospective Student Services in Tulsa. Sue was a member of Central Baptist Church in Owasso, Ok where she enjoyed; singing in the choir, working with the children’s choir, and playing keyboard in the praise band. She was also an avid quilter and active member of the Pryor Patchers Quilt Guild and Green Country Quilt Guild. In addition to quilting Sue loved spending time with her grandkids, family gatherings, and reading.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, John Denton.
Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Central Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Scott Carlson officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 4110 S 100th E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74146 or Central Baptist Music Ministry, 9001 N 145th E Ave, Owasso, OK 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
