Avenging Booklings Book Club for Teens Tuesday, June 4 • 4-5 p.m. Join us to discuss “Jackaby” by William Ritter. You should read the selected book prior to the discussion. For ages 13-18.

 

Video Game Tournament Monday, June 10 • 3-4 p.m. Come and test your skills! There are only four controllers for the video game tournament, but board games will be provided for those waiting to play. For ages 10-18.

 

Escape Room: Escape the Spaceship! Monday, June 17 • 2-3:15 p.m. Find a way to unlock the escape pods by working together with your fellow crewmates. After years of fighting aliens in outer space, you are ready to go back to Earth. However, the spaceship has been invaded by aliens. Overwhelmed, the ship will self-destruct in 30 minutes. To unlock the escape pods, you’ll need to find the code through clues and puzzle solving. There will be two 30-minute sessions for 12 participants in each session. Registration is required. Escape Room: Stuck in Time Thursday, July 18 • 5-6:15 p.m. Time traveling is full of dangers, one of the worst of which is being suddenly stranded. You and your party have journeyed into an unknown century and need to get your time travel devices up and running if you have any hope of leaving this place so you can get home! Build A Reader: Stay and Play Tuesdays, June 4, 11, 18, 25 and Wednesdays, June 5, 12, 19, 26 • 11-11:25 a.m. For babies, toddlers and preschoolers, playing is learning! Join us for games, toys and activities that foster critical early literacy skills. For ages birth-5.

 

Bubbles! Presented by Dustin Reudelhuber of Tulsa Balloons Tuesday, June 4 • 1-1:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 4 • 2:30-3:15 p.m. Dustin Reudelhuber of Tulsa Balloons takes bubbles to the max in this comedy, educational bubble extravaganza. It’s the craziest, most creative bubble show around. Mixing comedy, music and interactive bubble magic, Dustin engages and delights audiences of all ages. Build A Reader Storytime: Preschool Wednesdays, June 5, 12, 19, 26 • 10-10:25 a.m. • 10:30-10:55 a.m. The best in children’s literature, songs, games, finger plays, rhymes and other reading-related activities are shared with your preschooler. For ages 3-5.

 

PAWS for Reading Wednesdays, June 5, 19 • 4-5 p.m. Registered therapy dogs are excellent listeners. Elementary-school kids are invited to read their favorite books to a furry, four-pawed friend. Registration is required. Register online at www.tulsalibrary.org/events or call 918-549-7323. Please register each child individually and only register your child for one PAWS event per month. Each reader will receive a free book provided by the Raymond and Bessie Kravis Foundation through the Tulsa Library Trust. For ages 5-12.

 

Early Readers Book Club Thursdays, June 6, 13, 20, 27 • 3-4 p.m. Each week we’ll read a variety of books and explore fun activities. For ages 5-8.

 

Wondrous World of Nature With Kim Watson Tuesday, June 11 • 1:30-2:15 p.m. This program includes stories, activities and crafts to introduce children to the wonderful outdoors. Free admission tickets will be handed out 30 minutes prior to program start time. For ages 6-11.

Drawing With Children’s Book Illustrator Rich Davis Tuesday, June 25 • 1-1:45 p.m. • 3-3:45 p.m. Blast into creative exploring in the far reaches of your imagination with author/illustrator Rich Davis. He will share how he makes pictures for children’s books, draw a fun picture and lead kids in drawing space-themed pictures.
