Blues rockers coming to The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa

 

TULSA, Okla. – The Black Crowes have conquered the charts, toured the world and remained a force in music for more than two decades, earning the label as the “The Most Rock ‘n’ Roll Rock ‘n’ Roll Band in the World” by iconic music publication Melody Maker. On May 25, they will rock The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.

Tickets start at $45 and go on sale March 8.

Since 1990, the Black Crowes have released nine studio albums and four live albums, including the four times platinum debut “Shake Your Money Maker” and “The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion,” which went double platinum and peaked at No. 1.

The Atlanta rockers have released six No. 1 singles to date: “Hard to Handle,” “She Talks to Angels,” “Thorn in My Pride,” “Sting Me,” “Remedy” and “Hotel Illness.” Other hit singles include “Jealous Again,” “Good Friday” and “Kickin’ My Heart Around.”

The band’s most recent release is the 20-track mostly acoustic “Croweology,” which features many of their biggest hits in new arrangements. The album peaked at No. 4 on the rock album charts.

Led by brothers and guitarists Chris and Rich Robinson, The Black Crowes also includes drummer Steve Gorman, bassist Sven Pipien, keyboardist Adam MacDougall and guitarist Jackie Greene.

The band is slated to release a new live box set on March 19. “Wiser for the Time” will only be available in a four-record vinyl box set and on iTunes as a digital download. The 26-song set was recorded during a five-night run of shows in New York in 2010.
