Skip the Bulk Buys!

Big Warehouse Clubs such as Sam’s Club can often be a place to find great deals, but don’t buy into the myth that you should purchase everything you can at these stores.  You should only bulk buy items you regularly use and don’t perish quickly.

Buy only items such as paper towels, diapers, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and foods in quantities that you will use before they go bad.

Also, make sure you figure out the per unit cost, how much per ounce, can, or roll of paper and compare to how much you could buy these items for with coupons or on sale at other stores.  Perishable items such as meats may be a great buy at a warehouse store if you are throwing a party or plan to freeze a portion, but much of it may go to waste and eliminate your savings if you can’t use everything that you buy.

Many times, these stores are about convenience not savings. Shop smart and do the math before you buy!
