Virginia LivelyVirginia Lamp Lively was born February 12, 1932, in Piggott, Arkansas, to John Gordon Lamp and Flora Ann Arendell Lamp. She died Tuesday, January 24, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 90 years. Virginia was reared and educated in Piggott, Arkansas, and graduated with the Piggott High School Class of 1950. She was married March 6, 1954, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Velburn Joshua “Josh” Lively. Virginia continued her studies in nursing and spent her professional career as a registered nurse. She was a stay-at-home mom and cared for her family. Virginia was a strong woman of faith, having attended the Dewey (Oklahoma) Church of Christ and the Collinsville (Oklahoma) Church of Christ. Virginia was a true disciple of Christ and a committed Bible teacher. She, alongside her husband Josh, was an active supporter of Sojourner’s International for 10+ years. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes, spending time in her garden and canning. She was very talented with needlework and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mason Hite and wife Joanna, of Marshall, Texas
Mia Hite, of Lubbock, Texas
Marlie Hite, of Dallas, Texas
Davis Ward and wife Emily, of Salt Lake City, Utah
Connor Ward, of Chicago, Illinois
Adam Lively and wife Laura, of Owasso, Oklahoma
Aaron Lively and wife Tillie, of Stillwater, Oklahoma
Great grandchildren; Wesley Marshall, Wyatt Marshall, Jaxon Lively, Aaron Lively, Aidan Lively
And a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Josh Lively, brother, Carl Edward Lamp, and two sisters, Lula Lamp Brandon, and Betty Ann Lamp.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso, Oklahoma. Graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison, Arkansas with Kyle Brewer officiating with interment to follow. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Virginia’s memory to Hope Harbor Children’s Home, P.O.
