Wanda Sue LaBassWanda Sue LaBass was born September 22, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to George William Wiseman and Wanda Lorene Gunnells. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, August 10, 2020, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 73 years. Wanda was reared and educated in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Will Rogers High School Class of 1964. She continued her education at the University of Tulsa. Wanda was married February 27, 1971, in Tulsa, to Gary LaBass. She had worked with Rockwell International as well as the Tulsa Drillers. However, she was most proud to serve as a coach’s wife to her husband Gary. She was an avid supporter of Owasso Ram Athletics and Owasso Ram Football. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including going cruising, watching a variety of sports, and especially the Electric Slide.

 

Those she leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include:
Her loving husband; Gary, of the home
Daughter; Brandi LaBass, of Owasso
Son; Brad LaBass and wife Megan, of Centerton, Arkansas
Grandchildren; Camron LaBass, Carmon LaBass, McKinna LaBass, and Kinzli LaBass
Great grandchildren; Mazie and Aria
Sister; Linda Gondles, of Tulsa
And a host of other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lorene Wiseman, and grandparents, Jim and Maggie Gunnells.

 

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2020, at First Church in Owasso with Pastor Danny Phillips officiating. Private family disposition will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Walk, Tulsawalk.org, team name Grammy Great. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
