wings to go

By Anna Holton-Dean

Hot wings are synonymous with sports, and Wings To Go in Owasso has the two covered.

Enjoy watching your favorite team and the best—fresh, never frozen—wings you’ll find, plus more delicious menu items.

“Our food is fresh and cooked to order. We hand-cut and hand-bread our tenders and boneless,” Owner Douglas Arnold says. “I know these days it’s expensive to eat out, and people are hesitant to spend a lot of money. We want to make it enjoyable and worth every dollar.”

For that reason, he strives to ensure the best quality food and experience at a reasonable price every time you visit and makes customer service the number one priority.

“With this in mind, we’ve cut costs without sacrificing quality to keep it cost effective for the consumer. Since taking over this location, I’ve focused on making sure there is consistency in our product and a clean, friendly atmosphere for our customers to dine in and watch any sporting event that may be on any of our several TVs.”

As good as they may be, wings aren’t all they have to offer. Choose from tasty appetizers like fried mushrooms, “garbage fries,” nachos, cheesy tots and shrimp. Or for lighter fare, try the chicken salad, sandwich or wrap.

You can also take advantage of weekly specials: Mondays are .49 cents wings all day, including boneless and original wings, and from 5 p.m. until closing, $1.50 domestic longnecks. The Tuesday/Wednesday special includes a “platter of wings” (30 wings with one or two sauces for $16.99) from 5 p.m. until closing. And on Thursdays, enjoy .50 cent boneless wings from 5 p.m. until closing.

With basketball season underway, a bonus special is offered during Oklahoma City Thunder games. From opening tip off until final buzzer, Wings To Go offers .50 cent boneless wings and $1 domestic longnecks.

As the third owner of the establishment, Arnold says he chose Wings To Go not only for his love of wings, but for its locality as well. “Owasso is a growing community, and I like the direction that it’s moving,” he says. “We have a very loyal fan base here, and I love the interaction with my customers.”
