A dozen our so of Owasso’s finest participated in the 2014 Shop with Cops event this morning at Walmart.
Each child with their police officer partner had $75 to spend on themselves and family.
I saw children excited about new toys which made me smile, and children excited they were allowed to purchase new sheets, which brought tears to my eyes. I listened to a shopper verbally criticize officers for being their and not “on the streets,” which made me angry.
Thank you Owasso police for helping out these children today, and always.
