01/04/2019 – There is a lot going on in this place we call home.   Lots of new development, some businesses have said goodbye, and some are rebranding themselves.  This list below is nothing we have not brought you before, it is just listed on in the same place. 

All of these mean new jobs, new tax money, new adventures in Owasso. 

 

NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Glover Jeep – 10500 block of E US-169 Service Road – Site Plan Reviewed (Creating their own service center and area for their Jeep Dealership north of their current location). 

    Slim Chickens – 8712 N Garnett Road, Ator Center – Site plan reviewed  (between IQ Car Wash and Home2Hilton Hotel)

  • Boxpark on Main – 4th S Main St – Site plan reviewed  (Boxyard style development )  Other media outlets questioned the validity of our post about this in the past…. but we are saying it again 🙂 

  • Trinity Church – NW corner of E 76th St N and N Memorial Dr  – Annexation request approved. New Church to be built. 

  • Johnson Farms – E 100th St N and N 129th E Ave –  PUD reviewed  and approved. (Office park with 3 Restaurant pads on the 129th Street Side)

  • S&B Burgers – 9541 N Owasso Expressway, Tyann Plaza IV – Site plan reviewed  (Yes Tyann Plaza IV 🙂 )

  • Casey’s General Store – A 2nd Casey’s location coming to the SW corner of East 86th Street North and North 145th East Ave –  Site plan reviewed

  • Arvest Bank – 13716 E 106th Street North – Final plat reviewed and approved.

  • Black Bear Diner – 9039 N 121st E Aveo Former Applebee’s location – opening soon

  • A New Leaf Community – SE corner of East 86th Street North and North Memorial Drive – Agriculture and vocational training with housing designed to maximize the independence of individuals with developmental disabilities. – Council approved annexation of property – Council approved PUD

  • City of Owasso Police Station – 111 North Main Street – Under remodel/construction

  • Home2Suites – 8700 N Garnett Rdo Under construction (in what seems like forever 🙂 )

  • Owasso Holiday Inn Express – Tyann Plaza VII, Block 1, Lot 1o 48,803 sf building – Under construction behind Tyann Plaza 

  • Owasso Public Safety Operations and Training Complex – 11933 E 116th Street No – nearing completion. 

  • Morrow Elementary School – East 123rd Street North and North 132nd East Ave –  under construction with anticipated opening in the fall. 

  • Owasso High School West Campus Addition – 8800 N 129th E Ave –  Construction of a 31,310 sf building addition under construction. 

  • Braum’s – Garrett Creek Center – 11432 E 135 E Ave – Construction of a 6,062 sf building site plan under review.

  • Fishbonz – 106 S. Atlanta – Plans to renovate and rebrand to The District Bar & Grill

  • Mowery Development – SW Corner of N Main St & W 1st Ave –  Mixed use development to include restaurant, retail, office space on ground level opening soon. 

  • Redbud Park – Under construction with planned opening in March.  Owasso’s own little Guthrie Green 🙂

  • Attic Storage – 11500 E 80th St N –  Expansion site plan reviewed 

  • Baptist Village – Owasso Memory Care – 7410 N 128th E Ave – Under construction

  • Mingo Aerospace – 8141 N 116th E Ave –  Expansion project – Site Plan under review

The list above is all construction related.  There are other businesses coming soon to established locations, but that is for a future post.
