Joyce Elaine Schroeder was born November 11, 1951, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Earl William Lawson and Agnes Winifred Trousdale Lawson. She died Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 73 years. After completing high school, Joyce continued her education attending Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She spent most of her professional career as a production analyst with Samson Resources in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including sewing, going to garage sales, and working with arts and crafts. She also enjoyed watching movies, and had a special affection for cats.

Those she leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include:
Son; Chris Schroeder and wife Alisa
Stepson; Rob Schroeder
Grandchildren; Harrison Schroeder, Alaina Schroeder, Cameron Schroeder,
Kyle Schroeder, and Sydney Schroeder
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Agnes Lawson, and brother, Gilbert Lawson
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Chris Wall officiating. The family will be present for visitation and greet friends one hour prior to the service. Committal service and interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions made in Joyce’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinson.org. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
