Barbara Ann Vines, longtime resident of Owasso, was born October 31, 1939, in Crowder, Oklahoma, to Earl Lee Hale and Jaye Dola Whorton Hale. She died Monday, March 31, 2025, in Claremore, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years. After Barbara completed her high school education, she was married to Wayne Vines on October 19, 1957, in San Pablo, California. She was a military wife, a homemaker, as well as a business partner with her husband in establishing Vines Properties, Inc. She was a real estate investor and worked as a bookkeeper.
Barbara was an active volunteer in the Owasso community for the last 47 years. Barbara enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially traveling the world. She also enjoyed playing in poker tournaments. Barbara was a talented artist, which included canvas painting and ceramics. She dearly loved her family and hosting family gatherings and special events.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wayne Vines, her brother Richard Hale, and sister Jean Merrill.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2025, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be DJ Wayne Vines, Christian Cormier, Kaleb Cunningham, Kyden Cunningham, Nicholas Piotter, and Kallen Piotter. Committal service and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso, Oklahoma. In keeping with the desire to support the Owasso community, the Hale-Vines family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made in Barbaraโs memory to the City of Owasso Recreation and Culture Department, c/o the City of Owasso (attn; Recreation and Culture), 200 South Main Street, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055, or call 918-376-1539.
