AutenBrenda Mae Auten, longtime resident of Owasso, was born February 8, 1962, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Floyd W.L. and Betty Jean (Hixson) Fisher. She died Wednesday, April 29, 2015, in Tulsa Oklahoma, at the age of 53 years. Brenda was reared and completed her education in Owasso Oklahoma. She was married November 5, 1977, in Owasso to Tommie Auten.  She spent most of her working life as a homemaker and caring for her family. Brenda spent over 20 years with Three Lakes Laundry in Owasso and over six years with Wal-Mart. She was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes, but most important to her was her family, especially her grandchildren. She particularly enjoyed family gatherings during the holidays.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Tommie Allen Auten III, grandson Isaac Auten, and five brothers, David Fisher, Ronny Fisher, Jessie Fisher, Roy Fisher, and Eugene Fisher.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 1, 2015, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor William Auten and Pastor Jerry Eperson officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Sandridge Cemetery in rural Collinsville, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
