Owasso Indian Education students recently competed in the Cherokee Challenge Bowl in Tahlequah, OK. This annual competition is similar to an academic bowl where students buzz in to answer questions. These students spent time after school studying Cherokee history, government, culture, and language.

The students competed against many schools across the Oklahoma area, such as Oologah, Sallisaw, Hulbert, Tahlequah, and Vinita.

On March 14, 2013, the third grade Cherokee Cardinals team, coached by Vicki Foster, placed fourth in their division. On March 26, 2013, the sixth grade Cherokee Challengers, coached by Wendy Stokes, placed first in their division.

Both teams did a tremendous job representing Owasso and truly are Remarkable Rams!
