Dale Leon HouseDale Leon House was born April 21, 1943, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to William Oliver House and Lula Mae Melviney Reed House. He died Friday, November 18, 2022, in Claremore, Oklahoma, at the age of 79 years. After completion of high school, Dale served his country honorably with the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam War. Upon returning stateside he attended the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Dale was married June 2, 1967, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Karen Gates. They had made their home in Tulsa before moving to Owasso, Oklahoma, in 2009. Dale spent most of his professional career as a material analyst with McDonnell Douglas in Tulsa. He later worked at Auto Zone in Tulsa.
Dale was a strong man of faith and attended Memorial Drive Church of Christ in Tulsa, Catoosa Church of Christ, then Owasso Church of Christ after he and Karen moved to Owasso in 2009. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially fishing as well as spending time on the golf course. He was particularly fond of his role as “PaPa”.

Megan House Ibinola and husband Shadrach
Isaac House
Caitlyn House
Two great granddaughters; Leighton Marie Hayman and Everleigh Elaine “Lainie” Hayman
And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.O. and Lula House, and siblings, Wanda House Haley, O. Kenneth House, Charles House, Curtis House, Eldon House, and Lynn House.
 
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2022, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Dale L. House, Jr., and Dan Schnell officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Dale’s memory to the charity of your choice. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
