Darrell BabcockDarrell Babcock was born in Oswego, Kansas, to Leo Kelly and Genevieve Eloise Seger Babcock. He died Thursday, September 23, 2021, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 76 years. Darrell completed his secondary education in Welch, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Welch High School Class of 1962. He continued his education attending Draughon Business School. Darrell was married August 14, 1965, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Alice Simmons. He spent most of his working life in the trucking industry as an account executive. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and loved the outdoors spending time hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time in his yard gardening and was know for planting many, many, trees and meticulously caring for them. He was affectionately known as “Catfish” to many of his friends, but maybe more importantly was fond of his role of “Grandpa” to his grandchildren.

Russell Babcock, of Owasso, Oklahoma
Grandchildren; Rachel Babcock, of Catoosa, Oklahoma
Samantha Babcock, of Owasso, Oklahoma
Sister; Deloris Andrews and husband Carroll, of Collinsville, Oklahoma
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant twin brothers.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Bill Andrews officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Bill Andrews, Ron Payne, Gene Gray, Clifford Christmas, David Thomas, and Gary Ponder. Committal service and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
