Donna Lou FreemanDonna Lou (Cowans) Jordan Freeman was born on November 12, 1935, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lee Cowans and Betty Lou (Forbes) Cowans. She passed from this life on Saturday, August 5, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years. Donna was raised and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the Will Rogers High school Class of 1953. She was married to Rex Vaughn Jordan in 1955 until he died in 2003, and later remarried in 2010 to Kerry Freeman. Donna spent most of her working life as an administrative assistant with Shepherd’s Fold Ranch, a Christian summer camp in Avant, Oklahoma. She attended Ascension Church in Skiatook for many years, where she also worked as church secretary. She was a proud member of the City Elders, a group focused on political and spiritual values. In her spare time, Donna enjoyed a variety of activities which included being involved in the church, attending prayer meetings, dinners with her friends, being politically active, playing dominoes and cards (and beating everyone), traveling with her husband, Kerry, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and watching them play sports and participate in other activities.
 
She is survived by:

11 Grandchildren;
Luke Jordan, Jen Jordan, Blair Jordan, Lindsey Vencl, Spencer Risenhoover, Paige Risenhoover, Aimee Rader, David Rader, Alexa Moss, Hadi Doyal, and Beckham Brewer.
10 Great Grandchildren;
Mia Jordan, Isabella Rucker, Fletcher Vencl, Crosby Vencl, Adam Rader, Jace Rader, Jordan Deason, Maggie Rader, Jonathan Rader, and Ellie Rader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Betty, husband, Rex, sister, Barbara, brother, Levi, and her son, David.
 
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Ascension Church in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Graveside and Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Shepherd’s Fold Ranch Scholarship Fund, 185 River Ave, Avant, OK 74001. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
