Doris Allene Pennington was born April 4, 1947, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to Loyd Clifford Davis and Lucy Allene Thompson Davis. She died Sunday, April 20, 2025, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, at the age of 78 years. Doris was reared and educated in Pawhuska and attended Pawhuska High School. Doris spent most of her professional career with the Tulsa County Health Department, retiring after 35 years of faithful service. Doris enjoyed a variety of pastimes including playing dominoes. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved attending their events. Doris was always ready to celebrate her family’s birthday milestones. She also enjoyed working word search puzzles. Doris especially loved her grandkids who affectionately knew her as “Nan Nan” and “Nanny”.

She was blessed with many nephews and nieces who are dear to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Harold Loyd Davis, Joyce Lee Saldivar, and Robert Eldon Davis.
Public visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. There will be a private memorial held for the family at the home of Rene and Gavin Punch on Friday after the viewing.
