Elden JohnsonElden Evans Johnson was born June 16, 1934, in Cushman, Arkansas, to Arthur Delbert and Mable Lola Johnson. He died Sunday, December 27, 2015, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years. Elden was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army. He was married May 12, 1956, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, to Lois “Gay” Johnson. He spent most of his working life with Bryant Industrial Construction as a brick mason. Elden enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially when it involved being outdoors fishing, working in the garden, or woodworking.

Nine great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Gay Johnson, grandson, Eric Matthew Johnson, five brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Don Yandell officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Alan Johnson, Chris Johnson, Daniel Hancock, Taylor Dixon, Chad Allen, and Wes Storey. Final resting place will be Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
