Owasso’s own Christian Alumbaugh has been lacing up his skates at Wheels and Thrills for seven years, and this summer his hard work paid off in a big way.
At the USA Track & Road Championships in Florida, Christian raced his way onto the podium with a 2nd place finish in the 400 meters, 3rd in the 100 meters, and 5th in both the 200 and 500 meters. He didn’t stop there—at Indoor Nationals and the American Championships, he secured another big win with a 2nd place in the 500 meters.
Now, as a freshman at Owasso High School, Christian is also representing the country as a member of the USA Freshman National Team for inline speed skating.
