Via City of Owasso
02/14/2022 – The City of Owasso, working with Crossland Heavy Construction will begin an intersection widening project starting on February 21st, 2022. The intersection of Gamett and North 116th will be widened during the project. Anticipated completion is scheduled for August 20th, 2022.
During this time, drivers should expect one-lane traffic at times, no controlled left-hand tums at times. Stop signs instead of traffic signals at times, and any other normal delays that can be associated with a construction project.
ALL DRIVERS in the immediate area should expect delays if you choose to utilize the intersection as it will remain open during construction. City staff would encourage drivers to utilize other routes such as North 126th off of Highway 169 to Mingo if you are trying to reach the Owasso Sports complex. Please note, if you use the entrance off of 106th to enter the sports park, you will have to park and walk to the north side of the complex as there is no through road. The same goes for guests using 116th to enter the complex who wish to go to the southern part of the complex, you will have to park and walk.
