Jimmye Joan StuckeyJimmye Joan Stuckey was born April 21, 1932, in Hollis, Oklahoma, to James Jackson and Sybil Irene Miller Brown. She died Tuesday, February 23 , 2021, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 88 years. Joan competed her secondary education in Ada, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Ada High School Class of 1949. She continued her education attending East Central University in Ada where she earned her master’s degree. Joan was married April 13, 1951, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Dale Eugene Stuckey. She spent over 50 years in school administration for various schools throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma, serving the last 26 years with Union Public Schools in Tulsa. She was strong in her faith and attended Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso then Central Baptist Church in Owasso. She volunteered at Bailey Medical Center in Owasso and was active with the Owasso Historical Society. Joan enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially attending the ballgames of her husband, her sons, and grandsons.

Kaleb Stuckey and wife Kelly, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Justin Bolton, of Texas
Great grandchildren; Stetson Bo Stuckey and Norah Brooke Stuckey, of Broken Arrow, OK
Two sisters; Jacqueline Tipton and Kaye Gibson, of Owasso, Oklahoma
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dale Stuckey, and granddaughter, Tara Brooke Stuckey.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Graveside service and interment will be held 12:00 noon Monday, March 1, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers will be Zach Stuckey, Kaleb Stuckey, Tom Shipley, Don Shipley, J.R. Shipley, Mike Gibson, and Ted Knotts.
