Kelli Dawn OwensKelli Dawn Robinson Owens, 57, of Owasso, Oklahoma, went home to Heaven on July 4, 2022. She stepped into the arms of Jesus at 6:11 a.m., the exact time of sunrise that morning.
Kelli was born on May 14, 1965, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Vern Robinson and Ruth Shelton Robinson. She grew up in Shidler, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Shidler High School in 1983. She then attended Northern Oklahoma College where she graduated in 1985. While at NOC, she met Terry Owens, the love of her life. They married on August 10, 1985 in Shidler. They made their first home in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Kelli went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She also earned her Master of Education degree from Concordia University in Oregon.
Kelli and Terry had two sons, Jacob Robinson Owens and Christopher Claude Owens. Over the years they lived in Blackwell, Stillwater, Douglass, Kansas, Oologah, Collinsville, and Owasso, Oklahoma.
Kelli spent 21 years as a classroom teacher in Blackwell and Eastwood Baptist School in Tulsa and Rejoice Christian School in Owasso. She then spent seven years in administration at Rejoice Christian School and most recently served as elementary principal. Her greatest joy in her career was loving on every child she worked with, and her goal was always to lead them and keep them close to Jesus.

Kelli is survived by her devoted husband Terry, of the home, son Jacob and wife Tiffany, and grandchildren Waverly Renee and Gabriel Robinson Owens, of Owasso, and son Christopher of Collinsville. She has a sister, Cheryl Robinson Hawkins and husband Allen, of Owasso, and niece Carri Lewis, and husband Gary, and great nieces and nephew, Calli, Grady, and Josi.
Kelli was preceded in death by her parents Vern and Ruth Robinson and a niece, Bobbi Jo Cranford.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the Rejoice Upper School Auditorium with Pastor Casey Cariker and Pastor Allen Hood officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Gary Lewis II, Grady Lewis, Allen Hawkins, Joel Pepin, Tyrel Owens, Scott Zingerman, Alton Cook, and Jeff Phillips. Private family committal and interment will be held at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso.
In honor of Kelli, in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the RCS Scholarship Fund, so that future children can receive a great Christian education, at https://payit.nelnet.net/form/7mPo8eFT . Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
