Leo Lovely PidgeonLeo Lovely Pidgeon was born August 4, 1929, in Qualls, Oklahoma, to George Lovely and Mary Ann Young Pigeon. He died Sunday, April 3, 2021, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 91 years. Leo was married May 1, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Shirley Sloat. They had made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, since 1967. Leo spent most of his working life as a truck driver with Texas Oklahoma Express, or TOX. He was a member of the Teamsters Local Union #523 in Tulsa. In his younger days, Leo enjoyed stock car racing and was a member of the Oil Capital Racing Association. He also loved the outdoors, going fishing, then fishing more. He particularly enjoyed camping at Blue Creek on Oologah Lake. He loved his grandchildren who affectionately knew him as “Papa Lelo”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley Pidgeon, great grandson, Brady McClain, son-in-law, Johnny Granado, sisters, Faye Jackson, Juanita Dunn, and Bonita Thurman, twin brother, Leon Pigeon, and brother, Percy Pigeon.
And a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
