Leroy Dwaine Jones was born June 1, 1932, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Roy John and Vacilee (Howard) Jones. He died Tuesday, February 18, 2014, in Chouteau, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years. Dwaine was reared and educated in Muskogee and graduated with the Muskogee High School Class of 1951. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was marred June 22, 1956, in Muskogee to Frances Ellis. Dwaine spent much of his working life as a mechanicwith American Airlines in Tulsa. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Chouteau. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including fishing, gardening, and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons, Richard Jones and Jordan Jones, and a granddaughter, Alexandria Jones.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral services will be held 11:00 Friday, February 21, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Chouteau with Pastor Harlee Sarten and Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Private family interment will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Chouteau First Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 North McCracken Street, Chouteau, Oklahoma, 74337. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
