Lucille Garner was born February 22, 1944, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Massey Pennington and Ruth Ennis Pennington. She died Friday, May 16, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years. Lucille completed her secondary education in Hot Springs and was a graduate of Hot Springs High School. She was married September 23, 1959, in Hot Springs to Gerald Wayne Garner. They had moved to Oklahoma in 1963, then had made Owasso their home in 1979. Lucille spent most of her working life as a warehouse cooler supervisor with Akins Distributions in Tulsa.
Lucille enjoyed a variety of pastimes including time spent working in her flower beds. She was an amazing cook and baker. She dearly loved her family, especially the grandkids who affectionately knew her as “Nana”.

Those she leaves behind who hold a lifetime of memories include:

Daughters; Tina Thompson and husband Garen
Tonia Gibson and husband Don
Granddaughters; Angel Easter, Brittani Gwinn, and Tristen Gwinn
Great grandchildren; Penelope Maltbie, Jaxon Easter, and Carissa Huff
She was preceded in death by her parents, Massey and Ruth Pennington, husband Gerald Garner, and six brothers, Carl Pennington, Paul Pennington, Bill Accord, Ernest Pennington, Elmer Pennington, and Don Bradley.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2025, at The Refuge in Owasso with Jeff McCoy officiating. Private family disposition will be held at a later date. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
