Marilyn Coy Huffstutler was born February 4, 1936, in the Crouch Township of Hamilton, County, Illinois, to Samuel Coy and Rella Belle Muehlenbein Coy. She died Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years. After completion of high school, Marilyn married Norman Dale Huffstutler on April 22, 1956, at the First Baptist Church of Belle Prairie, Illinois. They had made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, since 1962.
Marilyn spent most of her professional career with the First Bank of Owasso, where she retired as Executive Vice-president. She was a strong woman of faith and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Owasso. Marilyn enjoyed a variety of pastimes including needlepoint and crocheting, as well as traveling. She dearly loved her family, especially the grandchildren who affectionately knew her as “Grandma”.

Grandson; Coy Huffstutler and wife Andrea
Great grandchildren; Mason, Cole, Emery, and Eli
Brother-in-law; Lowell Huffstutler and wife Jill
And a host of nieces and nephews in Illinois, along with extended family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Norman Huffstutler, brothers, Gordon Coy and Bob Coy, and son, Mikel Huffstutler.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2025, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Chris Wall officiating. Final resting place will be at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Marilyn’s memory to The Mission Center, 11341 North Garnett Road, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055, or at www.themission.net.
