Myrtle Kathryn Rofkahr was born on July 17, 1936, in Clarksville, Arkansas to Argus Faye Self and Carmen Bernice (Warren) Self. She passed from this life on Thursday, March 7, 2024, in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years. Myrtle was raised and educated in Clarksville where she earned her GED. She was married on May 29, 1953, in Clarksville to Junior Conrad Rofkahr. Myrtle spent most of her working life in the home raising her two children. Later she co-owned Oologah Tag Office and J.C.’s Antiques. Myrtle enjoyed volunteering and has been mentioned as “The Greatest Cub Scout Den Mother Ever.” In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, knitting, reading, and working jigsaw puzzles, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Argus and Carmen Self, stepmother, Wilma Self, brother, Jewel Self, granddaughter, Stephanie Dees, and her grandson in law, Eric Poplin.
