Naomi Register Hicks was born April 13, 1924, in Ariton, Alabama to Lewis and Maggie (Danner) Arnold. She passed from this life Thursday, May 18, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 93 years. Naomi was raised and educated in Ariton and attended Ariton High School. She was married April 6, 1945 in Eufaula, Alabama to John Alster Register. After John Alster passed, she later remarried to Leon Hicks on August 30, 2003. Naomi spent most of her working life as a Weaver for Cowikee Cotton Mills. She was an active and faithful member at First Assembly of God in Eufaula, Alabama since 1949. Naomi enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as crocheting, baking cakes and pies, reading her bible, and praying for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Alster, late husband, Leon Hicks, and five sisters, Jessie, Thelma, Mary, Vernice, and Melba.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at First Assembly of God in Eufaula, Alabama. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Eufaula, Alabama. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
