N AllisonNell Alllison, local resident of Owasso, Oklahoma, died Sunday, March 5, 2017, in Owasso at the age of 87 years. She was born May 14, 1929, in Perkins, Oklahoma, to William Leroy and Nellie L. Booher Lay. She completed her secondary education in Perkins, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of Perkins High School. She continued her education attending Oklahoma State University, known at the time as Oklahoma A & M. She was married December 24, 1949, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, to Ted C. Allison. They had made their home in Owasso since 1964. Nell spent most of her working life as a homemaker and caring for her family. She was a longtime faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Owasso. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including sewing, crocheting, reading, and most recently, coloring. Some of her favorite times were traveling around the country with Ted.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ted, son, Ted William Allison, brother, Maurice Lay, and infant brother, Leroy Lay.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church of Owasso with Pastor Leroy Foreman officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
