Nina "Sue" Suenell PhillipsNina Suenell “Sue” Phillips was born on January 13, 1938, in Hulbert, Oklahoma to Dewey Edgar Glenn and Dollie (Smith) Glenn. She passed from this life on Monday, July 26, 2021, at her home in Skiatook, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years. Sue was raised and educated in Porter, Oklahoma and graduated with the Porter High School Class of 1955. She then attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri where she studied missions. Sue was married on June 17, 1955, to Robert “Bob” Ray Phillips. She spent most of her working life as a missionary under the Baptist Bible Fellowship International Organization and served in the Philippines for over 50 years. Sue was an active and faithful member of Southeast Baptist Church in Tulsa since 1975. One of her greatest achievements was the founding of La Union Bible Baptist Academy in San Fernando, La Union, Philippines. Sue was an avid reader and enjoyed reading romance and mystery novels and had a great passion for children and dogs, and supporting her husband. Her most noble virtues were love and compassion for people.

Sister;
​Jeannie Neighbors and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Dollie, 3 brothers, Johnny, Milo, and Leroy, 2 sisters, Bernice and Patsy, brother-in-law, LeRoy, and nephew, Randy.
​Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2021, at Southeast Baptist Church in Tulsa with Gary Phillips officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to support the La Union Bible Baptist Academy, to be sent to Baptist Bible Fellowship International memo: Bob and Sue Phillips, P.O. Box 191, Springfield, Missouri 65801. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
